As part of our Character Kid Circle program, we do a lesson called "How Full is Your Bucket". This lesson creates a language that students and staff can use when talking about words or actions that build people up (FILLING someone's bucket) or tear people down (DIPPING from someone's bucket).
Each classroom teacher has the opportunity to participate in a optional "Classroom Bucket". Classes earn scoops into their classroom buckets for good hallway behavior, good listening, receiving compliments from other staff members, etc. Once the "Classroom Bucket" if full, the class puts a scoop into the "Building Bucket". When the "Building Bucket" is full, the last class to add a scoop votes on a BUILDING-WIDE REWARD!
