UD Engineering Camps

The University of Dayton hosts three, week-long summer engineering camps that allow students to explore the different fields of engineering through hands-on activities. Our programs are residential, so participants will also get a taste of life on a college campus!

1. Minority Engineering and Technology Camp for Young Men (METEC)  Registration to come! June 16-June 22, 2019.
Minority high school males who will be seniors in the fall are invited to this weeklong program: Live on campus, conduct experiments, network with professional engineers, and visit engineering and science laboratories on campus and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Plus, work with a coach to build the skills you need to ace your ACT and SAT and apply for college. Minimum GPA 3.0.

Registration open! June 23-June 28, 2019.
Explore engineering through hands-on experiments showcasing different engineering disciplines and use your creativity to solve real-world engineering problems. You’ll get an inside look at what it’s like to choose engineering as a career from our faculty. Plus, you’ll have time to hang out with fellow campers, enjoy our fitness complex and explore campus. Open to students entering 11th–12th grade in the fall. Minimum GPA 3.5.

Registration open! July 7-July 12, 2019.
During this camp for women entering 10th–12th grade in the fall, you’ll gain experience in different engineering disciplines through cooperative hands-on experiences. You’ll also meet female engineering students, learn about life at UD, take a field trip to visit a local engineering company and meet local women engineering professionals.
