  •    Highlights from the Eagle’s Nest~~Girls Basketball

The Girls Basketball team finished the regular season off with a 14-8 record. The Eagles endured a very difficult schedule this season, playing many GWOC schools, and three of the team’s eight losses came by one point. The seniors on the team are captain Cassidy Bereda, Siera Ferguson, captain Cassidy Hofacker, Lauren Redfern and captain Bekah Vine. With a 15 man roster, the largest in Coach Tincher’s tenure, the team is known around the league for the depth of the bench. However, the Golden Eagles have had their share of injuries of this season, that include keeping 3 year starter and captain Cassidy Bereda from seeing the floor. At this point in the season 8 different players have missed one or more games due to injuries. However, this has not stopped the team from winning notable games which include Miamisburg, Carroll, Oakwood and Franklin. On Saturday February 3rd, Senior Cassidy Hofacker joined the 1000th point club, becoming only the 6th player in Bellbrook Girls Basketball History to do so. Congrats to Cassidy on her achievement, and good luck to the team as they are set to play Thurgood Marshall at Lebanon High School on February 17th in the first round of the Sectionals.
