It is easy to get lost when it comes to back-to-school items. Between the forms, the sports and activities, the shopping and the general dread that comes from wondering what you forgot to do, we thought we’d at least TRY and give you a little help.
So here is a quick checklist to ensure all your necessities have been accomplished and a list of important dates of remaining Open Houses and the like.
And remember SCHOOL STARTS on August 14 for Grades 1-12. First day of Preschool is August 19. Gold Kindergarten, as well as the 5-day Kindergarten program, begin on August 21 and Purple Kindergarten begins August 23.
• Log into FinalForms and complete all forms (And E-sign, forms are complete when the icon turns green)
• Contact Information
• Health History and Medical Profile
• Medications
• Meningitis Form (HS only)
• Injuries and Hospitalization
• Past and Ongoing Health Conditions
• Emergency Medical Authorization
• Transportation Information (Pick up/dropoff/busing)
• Student Handbook
• Acceptable Use Policy
• Free and Reduced Lunch Form
• Be sure School Fees and Activity Fees are paid in Payschools Central
• If your student is an athlete, make sure those forms are filled out, too
• Go into ProgressBook to see your student’s teacher and schedule information if you haven’t already done so. If you cannot log in, contact your student’s building for assistance.
• Make sure you’ve downloaded the Stopfinder App if your student rides the bus so you can easily keep track of their routes and possible changes
• Go back to school shopping for supplies (Tax holiday season is July 30 through August 8)
• Bring your student to school (or get them on the bus)
• Attend Open Houses/Meet and Greets
• Mark your calendar for Parent/Teacher Conference days
