District Families -
Summer break is quickly coming to an end. We welcome students back to every day school for in-person learning. School starts on August 18 for students in grades 1-12, all day and Purple Kindergarten on August 24, and Gold on August 25.
The school board and I have received numerous emails about our back to school plan. We know that there are varying opinions about masking at school. We do appreciate your thoughtful and respectful comments.
With the support of the Board of Education, we will start the 2021-22 school year giving our parents/guardians the choice of whether their children will wear masks in our buildings, however; the district is strongly recommending masking.
Since the last email that was sent to families with our back to school information, the guidelines for quarantine and exposure in K-12 settings was released by ODH. We have updated our plan to include this information.
As we have done throughout this entire time, we will continue to monitor the situation and if necessary, the district may make changes.
