District Families -

It is hard to believe the 2022-23 school year is right around the corner. Below is some important back-to-school information. Look for additional emails concerning this topic and other back-to-school guidance, coming soon. We welcome students in grades 1-12 back on August 18. All-day and Purple Kindergarten begins August 24, and Gold Kindergarten begins August 25.

Back to School Forms
Final Forms needs to be completed online for school demographic and emergency contact information and to request transportation for eligible students. All of your student’s information has already been pulled over to Final Forms from the previous school-year, but you will need to log in and confirm your information and/or make any changes. It is especially important for us to have correct phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contact information for each Parent / Guardian, so please ensure these fields are completed for each student’s forms. Not including a parent email or phone number will limit the communications you receive from the district and we want you to stay informed. Please keep in mind we cannot release your child from school to anyone who is not authorized in Final Forms.

Final Forms for the 2022-23 school-year has been open since May 27 and all students must have this information completed no later than Sunday, August 21. Click on https://sugarcreek-oh.finalforms.com to log in and complete this information ASAP. For questions about Final Forms, contact [email protected]

Transportation Information

We anticipate having transportation routing and bus information loaded into your Final Forms “Transportation Information” section available no later than August 11. We will send an email when this information is available. You will be able to see drop off/pick up times, bus number and bus stop location. If you have questions after this information is available, please contact the transportation office at [email protected] or 937-848-4029. You must have an active Final Forms account in order to view transportation information. We ask for patience as we have revamped many of our routes due to reinstating high school busing and increasing busing services for other students. However, we are still critically short on bus drivers. Click HERE to apply for one of our three open bus drivers positions.

Back To School Information

In addition to information conveyed by your building principal, other back-to-school information (such as supply lists, Open House and Orientation dates) can be found in the Parent Resources page at https://www.sugarcreek.k12.oh.us/ParentResources.aspx.

Student Safety Upgrades

Safety always is a top priority for Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools. New visitor and student check out procedures will be in place for the upcoming school year. A valid ID must be presented to check out students in grades PK-8. Visitors must show a valid ID and will be issued a visitor badge that must be worn at all times during their visit. More details will be out before the start of the school year. Please visit https://www.sugarcreek.k12.oh.us/TipLine.aspx to learn more about our other safety upgrades.

New Staff!

We welcome more than 30 new staff members to the Golden Eagle family for the 2022-23 school-year! We have decreased class sizes in many of our classrooms with the use of ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) funds.

School Lunch Program Changes

For the past two years, the USDA has offered waivers to our Child Nutrition Program to provide meals at no cost to all children. However, the USDA canceled the Pandemic Free School Meal Programs at the end of the 2021-22 school year. Therefore, starting with the 2022-23 school year, we will offer paid, reduced and free meals for those who qualify as we did before the pandemic assistance was offered. Lunches will be priced as follows: grades K-5 will cost $2.75, grades 6-8 will cost $3.25, and grades 9-12 will cost $3.50.

If your family completed a Free/Reduced meal application and qualified for free or reduced meals in 2019-20, 2020-21 or 2021-22, your student will start the 2022-2023 school year with the same benefit until September 28. This will give you time to get a new form for the 2022-23 school year processed. The application for free or reduced lunches can be found on our district website under Programs and then Food Services https://www.sugarcreek.k12.oh.us/freeandreduced.aspx. We are committed to assisting our families during this time of transition. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Sodexo office at 937-848-5001 ext. 6105 or 3112.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work together for a successful start to the school year.
