Parents and Guardians,
We will be starting our district daily weekday lunch program on Friday, March 20 at Stephen Bell Elementary from 10 AM to noon. This program is available for any student enrolled in any of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek schools and will not be charged onto the student’s meal account.
To quickly and safely get everyone served we ask that drivers pull up in the back parking lot off Shadowleaf Drive and turn on their emergency flashers. We will serve the meals through the window once you are verified. If you plan to walk to the pick-up location, please wait in line six feet apart from the next family until we verify you, then you can proceed to the designated pick-up table.
Because we must verify each student, please help us ensure a more timely distribution by writing your child’s first and last name on a piece of paper and putting that paper in your car window or holding it if you are walking. Please ensure that the letters are large enough to be seen from at least 6 feet away. The child does not need to be present, but we must document that a meal for that child was picked up.
Families may pick up lunch for other district families in their neighborhoods, but each child must be enrolled in the school district and be in our records. Only one breakfast and lunch meal pick up per day per child can occur. Once you pick up your food, please take the food off site to eat. It is very important that you wash your hands prior to eating as well as pay attention to the safety information on safe handling of foods included in the bag.
Each student will receive both lunch and breakfast, which can be eaten the next day. Lunch will consist of a well-rounded meal. Friday's meal will consist of turkey sandwich, veggie sticks, fruit and milk. Breakfast may include prepackaged items, fruit and milk. If you would like to request a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch instead of a turkey sandwich, please email Jennifer Hoehn at [email protected] by 3pm Thursday. If you have dietary restrictions, we will need to know by 3pm the day before each meal so that we can do our best to accommodate.
We will not have a set menu but hope to do deli sandwiches Tuesday and Thursday. We plan to alternate hot items on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We would like to remind you that the Family Resource Center is also available for other food and non-food items.
