3-14-2020 Update

Posted Saturday, March 14, 2020

Sodexo, Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools food service provider, has graciously agreed to donate perishable food items to our community.

On Monday, March 16 from 2-4pm at Bellbrook Middle School, perishable food items, that may include any fresh items that may expire very quickly such as produce, bread, and other proteins, will be available for pick up for any family or individual in the community that is in need.

The pick up location is located behind Bellbrook Middle School, in the bus lot. Drivers are asked to line up in the circle closest to the double doors. Once you are in the queue, please put the emergency flashers on and someone will bring assembled bags to your car. The contents of the bags will consist of the items available and no special requests can be made.

There will be a limit of two (2) grocery bags per car. Please bring grocery bags, as bags may be limited. Quantities are available as they last and any remaining items will be donated to other community outreach programs.

As Sodexo and Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools are still working on the possibility of a future meal feeding program, the Family Resource Center (https://www.bsfrc.org/) located on East Street is available to support community members with their needs. Information was sent to all school families via email on Friday, March 13 about the Family Resource Center.

Below is information from that email from the Family Resource Center:

If you need food, clothing or to consult with our social worker, please contact the Family Resource Center. We will bring food and other items out to your car to minimize the spread of germs. We are normally open on Wednesdays from 10am-2pm but will be open additional days and times over the break. Please follow us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BSFRC/ or call (937) 848-3810 so you know when we are open.

If you would like to donate food or toiletries, we would greatly appreciate it. We are currently out of laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and cereal. We have enough green beans to last a lifetime. Please see our Facebook page for an updated list of the items we need. There is a donation box outside the front door of the Family Resource Center.

Please join the FRC email list https://mailchi.mp/3c5f571a20a1/familly-resource-center and follow us on Facebook so you can be alerted about volunteer opportunities, events, and community needs that arise. Thank you.
