Food Service Updates

Message from Bellbrook-Sugarcreek/Sodexo Foodservice

Welcome back!  We are very excited to see our students once again.

As we all know, things will look a lot different this year, but our commitment to our students and staff still remains the same.   Our cafeteria staff has been trained to safely provide service to our students and are eager to serve our students in-person during the phased-in start of 50% of our students attending each day, on remote learning days, and in Bellbrook Online Academy. We have ensured that your students will have contactless service with the elimination of touching pin-pads and self-service lines. Each student and staff member will adhere to social distance guidelines while visiting our cafeterias. Our staff will follow CDC guidelines for safe serving and will have limited items in the cafeteria for sale that are completely pre-packaged or served in closed containers with healthy meals, condiments, and eating utensils.  Each meal will include an entree of the students choice, fruit, vegetable, and milk. Snacks and a la carte will also be provided, but limited at first.  We have taken many precautions with the goal of providing nutritious hot and cold safe options for our students, and welcome your student to dine with us.

Please use this link to view our menus for each building.  https://bellbrooksugarcreeksd.sodexomyway.com/

This year, our department will be serving very similar menus throughout our district to help align with our pre-ordering system for days our students are attending school on the phased-in start of 50% of our students attending each day. Meal pricing will be as follows for each building.

Lunches: Elementary $2.75, Middle School $3.25, High School $3.50.
Reduced Price meals are $.40 Breakfast (Only available for students in school at Middle and High School)  $1.50 for full price, and $.30 reduced.

We will not be accepting cash or checks during meal service.  All cash and checks will be deposited before and after meal service.  Checks can be made out to Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools.  Please indicate on all cash and checks the student(s) you wish to have the funds applied to. We recommend that checks and cash be sent in baggies and envelopes with student information.

In addition, we also have an online program that you can view and pay online.  The site is free to use, however, any payments made online will have a convenience fee applied.  We recommend that you sign up for online balance and notifications, and proceed with the payment program that works best for your family whether it be cash, check, or online payment.  Visit www.payschoolscentral.com.

We will have a google form for students that would like to purchase and receive meals for the remote learning days.  Please see this link for pre-ordering meals that will begin on August 20th. The Deadline to order meals for August 20th and 21st will be Wednesday, August 18th by 2pm.  The following weeks will have a Wednesday and Friday Deadline that is further explained in the link.  Please see the link below for more information.

Please fill out a form for each child that needs meals. https://forms.gle/Cw2Kt5uxZ8BA5uzy9

Our Bellbrook Online Academy will begin the week of September 8th and a separate communication and survey link will be forwarded for those meals.

Our take home meals will consist of pre-cooked Cold and frozen items to ensure they can be safely transported home at the end of the day with your student.  Our meals can be safely reheated in your microwave or oven the next day.  We will have one take-home choice which will follow our menu as the 1st choice daily in elementary, Traditions in Middle School, and Adventure in High School.  Please refer to our menu link to determine what those options are.  https://bellbrooksugarcreeksd.sodexomyway.com/

If your family feels they may qualify for Free and Reduced Meals, we ask that you take the time to apply for meal benefits using www.payschoolscentral.com.  If your family has experienced a decrease in income due to Covid-19, we also ask that you follow the link to apply.
