LAST CALL ON Senior Spotlight
The SENIOR SPOTLIGHT has begun! We want to share your senior’s accomplishments. If you are interested in our Senior Spotlight, then parents or guardians please email [email protected] and share a photo of your senior, their activities, (sports, clubs, jobs) and their plans after graduation. If it’s college, where are they going and what’s their major? If it’s entering the workforce, what field are they entering? Military - what branch? If it’s travel, where are they going? Let’s show the community everything our wonderful seniors are going to be up to!
Board Approves Contracts, Textbooks, Honors Retirees

NJHS Inducts 70 New Members to Bel-Leader Chapter

Bellbrook Middle School Bands Debut 2 New Songs
The Bellbrook Middle School 7th and 8th grade bands debuted two new songs on Monday night, thanks to a consortium agreement. Bellbrook bands have access to music that hasn’t yet been played in public and the middle school was part of a world premiere for the songs “Scream” and “Stay,” both of which deal with mental health. Eat at Chick-fil-A on May 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cornerstone Blvd. location and a portion of sales will be donated to help contribute to the building of EagleLand 2.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
YOUTH SPORTS
TOPSoccer is a soccer league for individuals with special needs for players ages 5 and up. Informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 26 at the Centerville Library on Spring Valley Pike
Select soccer tryouts through the Fusion program will be held at the end of May at Sackett-Wright Park. See flier for times and dates, which differ per age group
The Dayton Flyers are holding a youth football camp June 3-5 at Welcome Stadium for students entering grades 1-8.
Beginners Tennis Program will take place July 8-11 at Centerville High School. Grades K to 5. Learn to play tennis with friends. Space is limited.
Boys and girls youth soccer camp for grades K-8 will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 15 to 17 at the stadium. See flyer for more details.
Boys and Girls grades K-8 can register for the two-day cheerleading camp. From 5 to 8 p.m. July 22 and 23. Register by June 30. See flier for more details
EVENTS
Come and play backyard games at the community library from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. May 17. Grades 6-12. No registration required.

There will be a job and career fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 21 at Fearless Church. Various workshops included. Several industries represented.
Pick up your surprise book swag bag at the library, grades 6-12 Registration is open and you can pick up your book June 1.
Friday Hooray! A different activity every Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. June 7 to July 19 for grades 6-12 at the library. No registration required. Show up and have fun!
Teen Painting classes with Cheryl Kerns will be held June 13 and July 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Winters Library. Grades 6-12.
There will be a Pokemon Go Adventure at Sweet Arrow Reserve from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. June 25 for grades 6-12. Registration required.
Para-Rowing Opportunities Available. Gem City Crew’s mission is to encourage youth rowing performance, which includes adaptive- or para-athletes.
I Can Tri-Athlon or ages 4-16 with different abilities for an adapted Triathlon. $25 per child - includes a T-shirt*, medal, goodie bag, and family pool party after triathlon.
COMMUNITY SURVEY
Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association is surveying families to help the organization understand how to best meet the healthcare needs of individuals and families throughout the Greater Dayton Area.
SUPPORT GROUPS/CLASSES
Financial Wellness seminars are free, and Chick-fil-A provides a light dinner. They are held in the conference room at the Community Support Center, 51 S. East St., Bellbrook. Childcare is not provided.
Positive Parenting Meetings will be held Via Zoom from 8 to 8:30 p.m. May 7 and 28 and from 1 to 1:30 p.m. May 8 and 29. Topics are preparing for summertime with children.

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
Camp Invention now enrolling. Campers will team up with friends to discover the science of light, create a custom ball game, explore global water challenges and more for grades K-6.
Summer Champ Camp runs June 3 to Aug. 2 for ages 5-13. 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tons of fun and programs for young learners in summer camp.
Learning Tree Farm registration is open until July 1. Camp runs from July 8 to 25. Different theme each week.
The Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (WiSTEM) Institute is an amazing opportunity to learn about STEM fields. Open to girls who are entering grades 10, 11, and 12. June 10-14.
The GCCC STEM Summer Camp is designed to integrate various disciplines, showing students how STEM topics work together to drive innovation. Camp runs 8:30 a.m. to 3 pm. June 10-13 for students entering the 6th - 8th grade.
