5-Star District

Our District is one of the few in the state to be five-star rated for four consecutive years since the state introduced the rating.

Low Per Pupil Cost

Our District prides itself on a low per-pupil expenditure, coming in thousands of dollars under the state average. On top of that, we are also a very high-achieving district, earning five stars on the last four report cards.

Purple Star Awarded

Each of our four buildings have been awarded the Purple Star rating for their dedication to providing support to military families

16-Consecutive SWBL Titles

Across the field, the court, or any other competitive endeavour, our athletes are always striving to be their best and win.

Community Focused

Our students and staff contribute more than 16,000 hours each year in community service and raise funds and collect goods for many causes

Announcements

U.S. News and World Report Rankings Celebrate District

The results are in and once again, the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District’s schools are regarded highly on the U.S. News and World Report’s rankings of best schools throughout the nation.

Bellbrook High School is one of the top-rated high schools in the state, and third in the Dayton metro area. It is ranked 45th overall – its highest ranking since it was No. 43 two years ago.

Bellbrook Middle School was once again rated in the top 100, claiming the 71st spot overall out of 975 in the state. Bell Creek Intermediate was also highly ranked at No. 285 out of 3,144 in the state. Schools in grade bands K-2 were unranked as Ohio State Testing doesn’t begin until grade 3.

District, Treasurer receive Auditor of State Award

Thursday night was a celebration of sorts for the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District and its Treasurer, Amit Gautam, as they received the Auditor of State Award.

This is the fourth time the District has won the award, and the first time since 2017.

To be eligible, the District has to meet the criteria of a clean audit report. That criteria can be found below.

“It’s a team effort,” Gautam said after receiving the certificate. “I’d like to thank everyone in the Treasurer’s office, the Superintendent’s office, everyone who works on grants, including curriculum and special education. It’s not just us. It’s everyone working as a team to make sure everything is done right. Principals, secretaries, teachers … it’s not just me being audited. Anything done wrong at any place will affect the audit.”

Warren Named New SRO for Stephen Bell, BCI

Bellbrook Police Officer Josh Warren was named the new School Resource Officer for Bell Creek Intermediate and Stephen Bell Elementary last week.

Warren began his career in law enforcement nearly 20 years ago and started at Bellbrook in 2014. He has been a detective for three years.

“I look forward to becoming a part of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District family and interacting with students and faculty,” Warren said.

Warren takes over for Stephanie Bennington, who departed for another position.
