Competition Cheer Team takes 7th at Nationals
There’s a first time for everything, and the first time the Bellbrook High School Competitive Cheer squad showed up at nationals turned out pretty well.

That’s right, the Bellbrook Competitive Cheer team finished seventh in the Varsity Non Building Division II Universal Cheerleading Association High School National finals last weekend at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, scoring an impressive 82.5 points.

Landen Weiss won the sectional title at 157 Saturday, during the Division II tournament at Clinton-Massie. Weiss took down his opponent by pin in the second round. He will move on to the district tournament with teammates Dominic Hummel, Tressel Blair, Ben Slagley and Ivan Bao.

As technology continues to develop throughout the educational landscape, the Bellbrook Sugarcreek School District is using it to assist its employees and district families where it makes sense. One of those places is the new Stopfinder App, which family members can install to help keep track of student pickup and drop-off times, bus stop locations and bus numbers.

Bellbrook’s Jim Pugh is the very model of dedication, professionalism and school spirit. Pugh reached a milestone very few in the state have a few weeks ago, completing his 1,000th game as scorekeeper for the Bellbrook High School girls basketball team on Jan. 6, 2024.
