Thank you for visiting the official website of Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local Schools! I am grateful to be a part of this great school system within a supportive community.
At Bellbrook-Sugarcreek, we pride ourselves on academic excellence, with a well-rounded educational experience for our students that includes dedicated teachers and staff, fantastic arts and music program, STEM programming, strong athletics, and robust extracurriculars.
We have been recognized at the state and national levels for the experience we provide, as we were recently named one of the Best High Schools by U.S. News and Newsweek. Additionally, Bellbrook Middle School was named as one of the Ohio Schools to Watch. Each of our schools has been designated as a Purple Star School (military friendly). We also earned an “A” on the 2018 State of Ohio School Report Card.

About Dr. Douglas Cozad
Dr. Doug Cozad started his tenure as superintendent of Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools on July 1, 2018. Prior to serving in this role, he served as assistant superintendent at Franklin City Schools for four years and at Kettering City Schools for nine years as middle school principal and high school unit principal. Dr. Cozad spent his first eight years of his career in education at Northmont City Schools, serving as a high school teacher and as the district’s supervisor of technology. He earned his Ph.D in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University in 2011. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Educational Leadership Department at the University of Dayton.
Dr. Cozad has lived in Sugarcreek Township since 2010 with his wife Amy. They have four children, three of whom are proud Bellbrook graduates and his youngest currently attends Bellbrook High School. Throughout the years, Dr. Cozad has coached many youth sports teams and is a current member of the Bellbrook Lions Club.
