MARCHING BAND

What is it?
One of the largest organizations in the school, the Marching Eagles are a competitive marching band at the local, regional and national level, which also performs at all home football games, as well as select away games. The band is a nine-time Bands of America National Champion in our school size!

Who can participate?
Fall marching band includes all interested brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard students at BHS. Experience on an instrument is beneficial, but not required, and anyone who wants to learn to dance and/or spin equipment is welcome in the color guard.

When does it take place?
There are some rehearsals in the late summer, including the required week of band camp, but once school starts, we rehearse several times during the week after school. Marching band usually concludes in the first or second week of November.

Who can participate?
Any member of one of the band classes at school.

When does it take place?
Pep band starts up in the late fall and lasts until basketball season is over. We will rehearse a few times after school, but mostly just on the nights of home basketball games.

When does it take place?
Jazz band will start up in the late fall and last for the remainder of the school year. Rehearsals will be held after school a couple of times a week on a regular basis.
