Bellbrook’s Jim Pugh is the very model of dedication, professionalism and school spirit. Pugh reached a milestone very few in the state have a few weeks ago, completing his 1,000th game as scorekeeper for the Bellbrook High School girls basketball team on Jan. 6, 2024.

Bell Creek Intermediate, Middle School Honored by US News and World Report
For the first time, U.S. News and World Report announced its best Elementary and Middle School rankings. The magazine and website has long listed its top high schools and colleges but added the two younger-level schools this year.
Bellbrook is no stranger to the high school list, having made the list once again this past year as the 53rd-best high school in the state.
Bellbrook Middle School was on similar footing, having been named the 54th-best middle school in the state.
Bell Creek Intermediate also earned a Best Elementary Schools badge from U.S. News and World Report.

Making a Difference: Third-graders turn a problem into a $400,000 solution (WHIO)
The entire project started thanks to the inclusiveness shown by several third graders in Mrs. Culler’s class. As part of a Project-Based Learning project, Culler told her class to think of a real-world problem and to find ways to solve it. Their problem? Some of their friends with disabilities couldn’t access areas of the playground. The project wasn’t just “find a problem.” They needed to actively work to fix it. The next step was to write a friendly letter asking for a change. See how local entities stepped up and how you can help!
